The prime purpose of this community website, A Town Called Irvine,  is as a gateway to information on the local area in order to promote the interests of the residents and businesses in all aspects of their lives and work. It is also for visitors to the area, prospective visitors and prospective residents.

 

Harbour Arts Centre PDF Print E-mail

The Harbour Arts Centre (HAC), situated on the Irvine Harbourside was re-opened in 2006 following a mjor refurbishment.  The HAC is the cultural hub of North Ayrshire, providing quality exhibitions, art & drama classes, theatre, comedy, live music, special events and more. 

Their dedicated Art Team, comprising of Arts Specialists and administration & support staff, strive to provide something for everyone at this state of the art venue.

Why not pop in for a meal or drink at the hacbar, serving great food in a modern, friendly setting.

Interested in making your own percussion instrument? Come along to this percussion-making activity, where you will use everyday objects to create an instrument of your choice and learn how to play it with the experts on hand.

Portfolio Classes

This summer the Harbour Arts Centre is offering an opportunity for school pupils to attend a 5-day course to develop their portfolio.

The course is designed to ensure that participants achieve high quality finished pieces of work which will contribute significantly to their portfolios and increase their chances of gaining a place at an art school.
